
Yeo Yan Yin @ Amanda
She is passionate about public policy research, with a specialization in researching environmental, social, and economic issues. Amanda is dedicated to strengthening ASEAN relations through her work in regional policy.
Amanda began her career in the Sabah state government (2018-2020) as Senior Private Secretary to two ministers. She later joined the Malaysian think tank EMIR Research (2020-2023), where she developed her expertise in these areas.
Amanda was also the founding Malaysia Chapter Leader at The Young SEAkers, a regional NGO founded in Singapore that aims to strengthen the relationship between ASEAN and China through cultural exchange.
In addition, Amanda represented Party Warisan as a parliamentary candidate for Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, during Malaysia's 15th General Election (GE15) in November 2022, placing as the second runner-up.
Amanda holds an MSc in International Relations from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of London.
