Siti Hadija Mohd

Academic Fellow

Dr. Hadija Mohd is an interdisciplinary academic and trainer based in Malaysia with 18 years of experience across academia, training, consultancy, and laboratory work. Her expertise includes (1) Malaysian social and public history, (2) Islamic history in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, (3) 20th-century nationalist movements in selected Islamic nations, (4) historical perspectives in management and entrepreneurship, (5) action-experiential learning (AxL), (6) academia-industry collaboration, and (7) humanistic social sciences.

In academia, Dr. Hadija has served at the International Islamic University Malaysia (Assistant Professor), City University Malaysia (Associate Professor), Asia School of Business (Senior Lecturer), MIT Sloan School of Management (Visiting Scholar), and Management and Science University (Lecturer). Her teaching and training portfolio spans Humanities and Social Sciences (particularly History, Culture, Management, and Leadership) at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Originally trained in biomedical and molecular sciences, her early career was spent in laboratories and science education before transitioning to the humanities.

She currently volunteers as a Fellow under Malaysia’s Pemikir Muda Negara program (AKEPT–MOHE) and was recently appointed as a Tela’ah Fellow at MoHE. She also co-chairs a social enterprise, Akademi Tenggara. She aspires to continue to advance academia-industry engagement in Southeast Asia through her fellowship with KSI.
