ASEAN SARAWAK BUSINESS & ECONOMIC FORUM 2025

ASEAN ‘s growth and prosperity is partly shaped by Subregional cooperation in ASEAN like the Brunei - Indonesia - Malaysia - Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA), the Mekong Subregional, the Indonesia - Malaysia - Thailand Growth Area (IMT-GT). Sarawak is becoming an epicentre of growth in the BIMP-EAGA. Sarawak’s political stability far sighted economic planning, central geographical location and pivot to digital and green growth makes it an attractive investment hub. Her focus on green energy and hydrogen will make it an attractive destination for green investment. The Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint and the Post Covid Recovery Strategy makes Sarawak an interesting and viable hub for business and investments.

This high-level forum will focus on Sarawak as well as regional economic cooperation in BIMP-EAGA. The shift of the new Indonesia capital to Nusantara focuses on Indonesia - Malaysia bilateral ties as well as the whole BIMP-EAGA region.
