The Global Chinese Economic Summit was founded in 2009 by a leading Malaysian entrepreneur Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew of the Cheng Ho Multicultural Trust and Tan Sri Michael Yeoh a Think Tank leader. With the rapid rise of technology and innovation, the World Chinese Economic & Technology Summit will also cover the role of technology in business, education, healthcare and economic growth.
China’s vast advances in digital, green, rail and construction technologies can provide opportunities for countries and companies including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The Summit will also foster technology collaboration and exchanges. Technology is the main game changer in the global economy.
The Summit is an annual international Forum promoting business linkages, connectivity, shared prosperity and sustainability. Its purpose is to enhance connections between China and the world and among the global Chinese diaspora. It is a high level Forum bringing together Government, Business and Academic Leaders to discuss the rise of China and its relations with Southeast Asia and other countries as well as to promote business, education and technology partnerships. Its underlying philosophy is in its Founder’s mission of promoting learning between East and West and connecting the global Chinese diaspora. The Summit also promotes sustainable development and new drivers of growth in line with the global recovery.
