Transport is the lifeblood of any economy and nation as the movement of goods and people is essential for economic growth. In Malaysia, the transport sector is gearing up for recovery.

Increasingly we see a shift towards multi-modal transport integrating road, rail, sea, and air transport with seamless logistics. Technology will be a major success factor and game changer for multi-modal transport and logistics.

The 12th Malaysia Plan has also provided for expansion of ports and airports as well as roads, highways, and railways. The construction of Kuala Lumpur’s MRT3 will be another game changer in the urban transport landscape. Vast allocations and plans for building transport infrastructure will spur growth in construction and infrastructure development.

This Summit will highlight the Government’s Plans for the transport sector in particular urban transport, road, rail, sea, and air transport. It will also prioritise sustainable transport to build a sustainable future. This Summit will also bring together senior government officials, business leaders,
entrepreneurs, financiers, consultants, and transport operators to be updated on the trends, challenges, and opportunities in the Malaysian Transport Sector. The Summit will enable participants to feel the pulse of transport development in the country. it will also provide useful networking opportunities for those interested or involved in the transport sector.
