A Grim Path Ahead – The U.S. Election, an Analysis

Published on 18 Dec 2024

Elisha Patmon critiques the U.S. Democratic Party’s failure to connect with the working class, contrasting it with Trump’s populist appeal and offers a frank analysis on the alienation of voters and why the Democrats, in a very important and pain staking election, harboured the loss that they did in such disingenuous way.

There are warnings of regressive policies under Trump, highlighting the need for Democrats to recalibrate strategies but is realistic in what will actually be done, for a party that prioritises much of their overcast shilling and corporate partners, than domestic issues that average Americans face. The core problem is explored as a stark countenance that is now only getting talked about; a too late opinion in a world that is bearing consequence once again, for a presidency that does not border on any pike of stability.

Excerpt:

“The problem is more than the conveyed simplicity of bringing the price of things down, it is about a society that does not recognise that they are being left behind in an interconnected world.”
