Dato’ Dr Fadhlullah Suhaimi Bin Abdul Malek

DATO’ DR. FADHLULLAH SUHAIMI ABDUL MALEK was the past Executive Chairman of Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) serving from 10 June 2020 till 9 June 2022.

Dato’ Dr. Fadhlullah has more than 25 years of industry experience holding several senior positions both in public and private sector. He previously served as both a Commissioner and Executive of MCMC from 2016-2018. Prior to serving MCMC, Dr. Fadhlullah was Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Perdana University. He is a Public Health Specialist by training and an Adjunct Professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), UCSI University dan Perdana University.

He previously held senior management positions in Telekom Malaysia and Board seats in companies both locally and internationally (1998-2010). Later he was made Director in the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU) at the Prime Minister’s Office driving the Economic Transformation Programme and Government Transformation Programme (2010-2017). Whilst at PEMANDU he had also provided advisory and consultancy to countries in Africa, Oman, Sri Lanka and some States in India. In addition, he served as the Chief Communications Officer between 2014-2018.

He is presently serving in multiple boards of companies that are active in the area of payment transaction, healthcare, education and telecommunications.

He obtained his medical degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Masters of Medicine in Public Health from the National University of Singapore and MA in Health Management Planning and Policy with distinction from the University of Leeds. He also attended the SeniorManagement Programme at INSEAD and at University of Strathclyde.
