Dato’ Dr Narimah Awin

DATO’ DR NARIMAH AWIN retired from the Ministry of Health Malaysia as Director of Family Health Development in January 2007. After retirement form MOH, she worked in WHO (Western Pacific Region, and South East Asia Region) as Regional Adviser for Maternal and Reproductive Health, and retired in 2013. In 2019 she was appointed Chairman of the National Population and Family Development Board Malaysia or LPPKN, but her tenure was prematurely terminated in June 2020. Since then, Dato’ Dr Narimah has intermittently served as Technical Advisor for Sexual Reproductive Health in UNFPA Malaysia. She has spent many years of her career in the area of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
