Dato’ Ir. Dr. Hj. Nasehir Khan bin E.M. Yahaya

 Dato’ Ir. Dr. Hj. Nasehir Khan bin E.M. Yahaya is the Director General of the National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM), appointed on 15 December 2025. He holds a Ph.D. in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering, an M.Sc. in River Engineering, and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Civil Engineering. With extensive expertise in water resources, environmental engineering, river engineering, and flood management, he has authored and co-authored numerous research publications on topics such as water quality, hydraulics, sediment transport, and environmental systems. As the head of NAHRIM, Malaysia’s national institute for water research, he leads initiatives in water resource management, river basin studies, coastal and oceanographic research, and environmental monitoring, while representing the institute in national and regional technical programs and collaborations.
