DAVID MORRIS is Vice Chair of the UN ESCAP Sustainable Business Network for the Asia Pacific. David Morris Projects advises organisations on international and government relations, sustainable development, political risks and opportunities. David is Special Advisor, Sustainable Development, Trans Pacific Advisory (TPA & Co), based in Hong Kong, China; Director of Australia-based AustChina Holdings Limited; and Senior Expert for China, East Asia, Australia and the Pacific, LM Prisk Political Risk & Strategic Advisory, based in the European Union. He is a member of the Advisory Boards of the Hong-Kong based World Green Organisation and the Budapest-based Institute for Cultural Relations Policy. David is a former Australian diplomat, senior political adviser and was until recently the representative in China of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat. He is Senior Research Fellow, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and member of an Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Research Network studying links between the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and the Belt and Road Initiative. He is currently completing a PhD in international relations and has an MBA from Henley Business School and BA (Hons) from the University of Sydney. He is widely published, including regular features in Asia Global Online, with recent publications on cyber security, the digital economy, the US-China trade war, Chinese social credit system, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and geopolitical contest in the Pacific.
