DR. HADIJA MOHD is a historian based in Malaysia with research interests and expertise in (1) historical, legal & political history of Malaysia, (2) Islamic history in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, and to an extent issues on the 20th century nationalistic uprisings/strive for independence of selected Islamic nations, (3) historical trends in management & entrepreneurship, (4) action-experiential learning and its pedagogy, (4) issues and challenges in academia-industry collaborations, and (5) in general, humanistic social sciences.
Dr. Hadija is currently an Associate Professor in Humanities, Social Sciences and Management at City University where she teaches at their postgrad programs (master’s degree and PhD). On top of teaching and research, she also heads the City Graduate School for Marketing, Branding and Corporate Reach. She also is currently the sole professor for the Executive Education and Corporate Engagement programs for City University, working closely with the Chief Business Officer and City University’s partners for more corporate outreach.
She has had 16 years of working experiences in academia (universities, colleges and schools) and industry (consultancy, training, laboratories and hospitals), and in her current position at City University, she looks forward to further her work in academia-industry engagements.
