biography
Dr. Hu Zhenyu is the Senior Research Fellow, Director of Department of Sustainable Development and Blue Economy Research and Vice President of Qianhai Division at China Development Institute (CDI), a Shenzhen-based think tank working to promote China’s reform and opening-up and to expand international academic exchange and cooperation.
Dr. Hu’s research focuses on Belt and Road Initiative, blue economy, regional economics, and industrial planning etc. He led research projects on blue economy development commissioned by the Guangdong provincial government, Shenzhen municipal government etc. His research served as guideline for the development of maritime cities in China. Dr. Hu is also a member of the Urban Planning Board of Shenzhen.
