DR TEH CHOON JIN is the Registrar of Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU).  Dr Teh is actively involved in the development of private education industry, serving as the Secretary General of the National Association of Private Educational Institutions (NAPEI). In this role, he has been constantly engaging with the government agencies and stakeholders in various forums concerning private education.

Dr Teh has also been appointed to the following roles:

  • Subject Matter Expert for Development of Industrial Skills Framework, Education Industry and Member of the Sectorial Training Committee (STC), Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC), Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia;
  • Steering Committee for Internationalisation and Culture, IPTS Student Affairs Council, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia;
  • Vice President, Malaysia China Welfare Advisory Society.

Dr Teh has spent over two decades in the private higher education sector, having held various senior management positions, managing various aspects of the operations of private educational institutions.

A researcher in the areas of human resource management and organisational behaviour, he is a reviewer for SCOPUS-indexed international peer-reviewed journal and has published and presented research papers locally and internationally. He is also supervising Masters and PhD students’ dissertations and theses in these areas.

Dr Teh obtained his PhD from University of Malaya, Master of Management (HRM) with Distinction from Open University Malaysia and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Tasmania, Australia.
