Gan-Low Mei Leong brings with her 30 years of corporate experience of advising investors in strategies, policies and value propositions in investing in Malaysia. She joined the Iskandar Regional Development Authority in 2008 and brought her corporate experience into Government where she develops and advise on strategies, policies and facilitating issues on investments and development.

She now heads the Economic & Investments division of IRDA which is tasked to plan, promote and facilitate investments into Iskandar Malaysia. Her stakeholders include both regulatory Ministries and agencies and investors from a wide range of businesses ranging from manufacturing to education, financial services, hotels, logistics, ports, retail and trading.

Before joining IRDA, Mrs Gan was with one of the Big 4 accounting firms in Malaysia where she had provided tax advisory and consultancy services on a wide range of issues relating to foreign direct investments into Malaysia. She advised her clients on tax incentives, foreign equity, exchange control requirements and helped them navigate the different regulatory issues from business structures, re- structuring of businesses to business closures.

As a qualified Public Accountant, she brings with her professionalism and technical expertise to IRDA practising the highest level of integrity.

Mrs Gan graduated from University Malaya with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) with MBA from the Henley Business School, University of Reading.
