H.E. Raden Dato’ Mohammad Iman Hascarya

H.E. Raden Dato’ Mohammad Iman Hascarya currently serves as the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Malaysia, having been appointed by President Prabowo Subianto in 2025. Born in Jakarta in 1968, Ambassador Iman Hascarya brings a unique blend of experience across diplomacy, business, and politics, with a career spanning more than two decades in the corporate sector and political leadership before entering diplomatic service. He previously held senior roles within the Gerindra Party, including serving as Deputy General Treasurer and as part of the national campaign teams for multiple presidential elections. His professional background also includes affiliations with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as experience with Mitsui Chemicals in Japan and Freeport McMoRan in Indonesia. A graduate in Business Management from Newbury College in Boston, he is also known for his contributions to sports and organizational leadership, including serving as Chairman of the Indonesian Polo Association and co-founding the Nusantara Polo Club. His longstanding personal ties to Malaysia through family and royal connections further strengthen his role in advancing Indonesia–Malaysia relations.
