Hernando Betita III

Hernando Betita III (fondly known as Nano) is the Chief Executive Officer of World Vision Malaysia, where he leads the organisation’s mission to advance the sustainable well-being of children and vulnerable communities through community development, advocacy, and emergency response.

Nano brings to his role a deep well of lived humanitarian experience. Over the years, he has been personally involved in organising flood relief efforts, supporting refugee communities, advocating for migrant workers, and being a child sponsor. These experiences have shaped his belief that philanthropy must be communicated with honesty, dignity, and respect for the communities it serves — and that authentic storytelling is essential to building trust and sustaining public confidence.

Before entering the humanitarian sector, Nano spent many years as a senior commercial leader, driving brand growth and transformation for multinational FMCG and technology companies across Asia Pacific.

Outside of his professional role, Nano is actively involved in teaching, mentoring, and creative pursuits, including music and writing, reflecting his enduring commitment to creativity and community.
