Jason Wee

Jason Wee is a co-founder of Architects of Diversity, a youth-led non-profit organisation that bridges communities and identity groups among youth in Malaysia for justice, peace and a sustainable future. Today, AOD is one of the leading youth-led civil society organisations in the nation.

Since 2018, AOD has worked towards the promotion of diversity and inclusion in Malaysia by empowering young leaders as champions of inclusivity, pioneering ideas and processes for social cohesion, and building an enabling environment for legislative change towards equity and inclusion. Jason leads a team of >10 staff, together with dozens of volunteers and interns, to deliver diversity and inclusion education to more than 800 youth nationally. Together with his team, they have fundraised and diversified income streams that achieved the doubling of the organisation’s annual budget year-on-year within three years of full-time operations. Currently, he is overseeing the growth, strategy and development of the organisation to expand operations to primary research, thought leadership and corporate partnerships for the advancement of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in Malaysia.

Jason is a graduate of Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs with a focus in Race, Ethnicity and Discrimination. He is also Malaysia’s first Echoing Green Fellow, and have had the privilege of representing AOD’s work as a Gen.T Honoree (2023), Prestige 30 Under 30 (2022) and WikiImpact 100 (2022).
