Mr. Mohd Shahrul Nazir Mohamad Isa

MR. MOHD SHAHRUL NAZIR MOHAMAD ISA is a seasoned sustainability professional with over 25 years of experience across diverse industries. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President II of the Sustainability Department at Export Import Bank of Malaysia (“EXIM Bank”) Bhd., he has been instrumental in driving sustainable practices within the organization.

Shahrul holds certifications in GHG Accounting Lead Verifier (ISO 14064) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), solidifying his expertise in sustainability measurement and reporting. His extensive experience in management accounting, commercial roles, and stakeholder management provides a holistic perspective on sustainable business practices. Trained as the Sustainability Leads, he delivered the change for EXIM Bank sustainable practices.

Prior to his role at EXIM Bank, Shahrul held key positions at prominent organizations such as PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd., Siemens Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., INPEX Offshore Northwest Sabah Ltd., and PEXCO Sarawak NV. His career journey began as a PETRONAS scholar, where he earned a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He further honed his skills during his three-year traineeship as an accountant in London. Additionally, he holds a diploma in accountancy from ITM Arau, Perlis (now known as UiTM) and certifications in various Islamic modules from KUISCELL (now UISCELL)

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Shahrul is an active sportsman and certified personal trainer. He has participated in various endurance events, including duathlons, obstacle races, and marathons, demonstrating his commitment to a balanced and active lifestyle.
