Mr. Ching-Fong (CF) Ong

CF Ong is the Secretary of AI Malaysia (AIM) — a national and regional platform advancing AI innovation across Malaysia and ASEAN. AIM fosters collaboration between government, industry, and academia to accelerate the responsible and impactful adoption of artificial intelligence.

CF is also a Managing Director & Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Within BCG, he leads the Technology, Media & Telecommunications and Financial Institutions practices, and previously headed the Technology & Digital Advantage Practice in Southeast Asia, driving large-scale digital

transformations across industries. He has been instrumental in supporting the governments of Malaysia and Indonesia on their journeys toward digital economies.

Across the private sector, CF has advised leading banks, fintechs, and telecom companies on transformative initiatives — including building digital banks, shaping AI strategies, launching fintech ventures (one of which achieved unicorn status), and developing regional payment ecosystems.

CF is a frequent speaker at major global and regional forums such as the World Economic Forum and MyFintech Week, and has hosted a digital transformation course on Coursera
