David Heng is the Managing Partner of Global Leadership Dynamics Asia, a leadership solutions company that works with CEOs, senior leadership teams, and high potentials to unlock the full potential behind talent – and across organizations to create cultures that drive growth. He is an eminent leadership coach with a rich background in coaching business owners, board members, C-Suite executives, and leadership teams through organizational transformation and culture change. With over 30 years of experience spanning various sectors and leadership roles, David brings a unique blend of international management expertise and insight to his coaching practice.

Beginning his career in policing, David later led the Organization Excellence capability at
Singapore’s Economic Development Board, collaborating with top executives on organization
transformative initiatives. He then went on to build the Global Leadership Fellows Program at the World Economic Forum (Switzerland), identifying and nurturing top management talents within the organization. Thereafter he joined the CIMB Group of companies as its Managing Director for Talent and Culture.

David’s direct involvement with Board members and top management teams provided him with
a nuanced understanding of the complex dynamics within the boardroom and C-suite. Clients
value David for his capacity to engage with their present and strategic issues and dilemmas.
He helps them identify the gifts in their leadership crucibles; obstacles are seen as a challenge
to surfacing assumptions. In particular, clients appreciate his grasp of organizational dynamics
and connecting the dots on the visceral shifts required for turning around and sustaining high
performance in the organizations they lead.

David has coached executive leaders across a broad spectrum of industries, including
technology, media and entertainment, universities, retail luxury, commodities, oil and gas,
edutech, fintech, banking, and insurance, etc.

In addition to his coaching practice, David has contributed his expertise as an International
Human Resource Advisor for the Governance Board of the International Baccalaureate
Organization in Geneva.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Economics from the National
University of Singapore and a Master of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine
University, USA. He is certified as an executive coach by Linkage, USA, and has a range of
psychometrics and leadership assessments.
