MR. EFFIE RIZAL BIN MUSTAFA KAMA is part of the leadership team driving AIDT Advisory and Capacity Building Solutions at the AI & Design-Thinking (AIDT) Lab, KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific.

With more than two decades of experience spanning digital transformation, strategic business development, technology commercialisation, public-sector modernisation, and ecosystem development, he helps governments, enterprises, educational institutions, and development agencies accelerate their AI transformation journeys through structured advisory, capability-building, and implementation frameworks.

His work focuses on designing and delivering AI readiness programmes, AI Design Thinking workshops, executive advisory engagements, leadership development initiatives, and organisational transformation roadmaps.

Drawing upon extensive experience working with ministries, state governments, government-linked entities, and enterprise organisations throughout the Asia-Pacific region, he supports organisations in identifying opportunities for AI adoption, redesigning operating models, strengthening workforce capabilities, and building sustainable innovation ecosystems.

Effie is particularly recognised for his ability to translate complex technological concepts into practical business, operational, and policy outcomes. He works closely with senior executives, policymakers, and operational teams to bridge the gap between strategy and execution, ensuring that AI initiatives are aligned with organisational objectives, talent development priorities, and long-term socio-economic goals.

His experience across sovereign AI, smart city development, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, fintech, digital learning ecosystems, and socio-economic transformation enables him to provide multidisciplinary perspectives across diverse sectors.

As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he applies strong governance, programme management, stakeholder engagement, and execution disciplines to ensure successful delivery of large-scale transformation initiatives.

His career includes senior leadership, business strategy, consulting, and ecosystem development roles across both public and private sectors, where he has consistently led complex multi-stakeholder programmes involving technology adoption, organisational change, and capability development.

Within AIDT@KSI, Effie contributes to the design of future-ready AI leadership programmes, institutional capability-building frameworks, executive learning pathways, and regional knowledge-sharing platforms that empower organisations to harness AI responsibly, effectively, and sustainably while driving innovation, competitiveness, and inclusive economic growth across the Asia-Pacific region.

Effie holds a background in Finance & Banking from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and has built a diverse career spanning financial services, technology consulting, enterprise transformation, programme governance, and digital innovation.

His professional journey includes leadership roles in investment banking, oil and gas project coordination, enterprise PMO management, IT consulting, technology services, and digital strategy advisory.

He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL Practitioner, Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), and has completed specialised training in Generative AI for Project Managers, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective that combines financial acumen, technology leadership, infrastructure understanding, governance excellence, and large-scale transformation delivery.
