Over 35 years’ experience in the financial industry with expertise in derivatives trading, Equity and FX spot trading, FX netting and credit limits system. He has worked at senior positions for UBS, Bank Vontobel, GE Financial Services, Citibank, EBS (now TP ICP) and Swiss Reinsurance.

Creator of industry first Structured Products trading platform (UBS) and industry first multi-asset, multi-dealer SP trading platform (Bank Vontobel). Inventor of first patent granted to UBS (automated FX hedging of securities flow). Gerhard has shaped the digitalisation of complex financial instruments in the global derivatives market, based on Swiss banking standards but with a global perspective.

Swiss based OTC Service Ltd mission is to digitalise the entire eco-system of OTC traded derivatives, substantially reducing costs and improve access and scalability of the largest trading market (USD 632 trillion, BIS, Basel). OTC derivatives are used to enhance risk / returns of investment portfolios, build sophisticated investment strategies and to hedge FX risks for cross-border trades.
