Sedek’s work sits at the intersection of macroeconomics, financial markets and real-world capital allocation. He has developed forward-looking economic and market frameworks covering growth, inflation, interest-rate cycles, capital flows and geopolitical risk, translating these insights into actionable investment strategy across equities, fixed income, currencies and multi-asset mandates. He is a frequent commentator across leading Malaysian and regional media platforms and appears weekly on Astro Awani, where he provides policy- and market-focused economic analysis to a national audience. Beyond markets, Sedek is actively engaged in regional policy and academic discourse. He is an Expert Fellow of the Asian Financial Cooperation Association (AFCA), and an executive committee member of The Economic Club of Kuala Lumpur. His doctoral research on ageing economics has been cited and discussed by MIT AgeLab, a multidisciplinary research programme at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that works with business, government and non- governmental organisations to improve the quality of life of older people and those who care for them.
