Mr. Sean Poi

Sean Poi is an experienced business leader with more than 20 years of leadership and management experience, with particular expertise across multiple segments of the food and beverage industry. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The Ohio State University, USA, and has built a diverse career spanning technology, food services, commercial kitchen solutions, automation and business investment. He is recognised for combining strategic vision with a hands-on management approach to drive business growth, innovation and long-term value creation.

He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Codemax Sdn Bhd, an F&B-focused technology company specialising in a multi-vertical, AI-powered SaaS operating system. The platform integrates software, automation, robotics and artificial intelligence for food businesses, including advanced ERP functions, traceability, HACCP and Halal certification requirements. Its customers span airlines, food manufacturing, retail chains, hospitals and healthcare, convention and MICE facilities, and cloud kitchens.

Sean is also an investor in Ilham Integrasi Sdn Bhd, a ready-to-eat food production facility serving airlines, supermarket chains and restaurant chains, and has been Managing Director of PKM Technologies Sdn Bhd since 2004, with investments in several chain restaurant brands. Previously, he served for more than two decades as General Manager of F&B Equipment Sdn Bhd, one of the pioneers in commercial kitchen equipment distribution in Southeast Asia, representing more than 80 brands from Europe, Japan, Korea, the United States and China.

Earlier in his career, Sean worked as a System Engineer with Motorola in Schaumburg, Illinois, where he was part of the team involved in developing push-to-talk technology incorporating short messaging, voice messaging and video-conferencing capabilities for mobile phones. His career reflects a strong combination of technology, entrepreneurship, business development and operational leadership, with a continuing focus on innovation and sustainable value creation.
