• Wook Lee graduated from Hanyang University in Korea, majoring in Law.
• Wook Lee graduated from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (Beijing) – EMBA (Executive Master of Business Administration)
• He founded W-Foundation in 2012 when he was junior in university. He is the founder and chairman of the Board of W-Foundation. W-Foundation is a global non-profit organization; headquarter located in Republic of Korea working for conservation of the nature and immediate relief towards the
climate refugees of the world. W-Foundation managed offices worldwide including Fiji, Cambodia, U.S.A, Singapore, and Ukraine. W-Foundation’s well-known strength is that they are professionals in developing sustainable climate projects worldwide. It is selected as a designated donation organization by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea.

W-Foundation is committed to leading and enabling a broad-based public support for nature conservation, climate change mitigation and immediate relief for refugees impacted by climate change and natural disasters. • UNFCCC nominated W-Foundation as one of the top three organizations of the world working for climate change. W-Foundation was invited to COP25 climate conference held by UNFCCC to make a speech about HOOXI Nature Project in December 2019 in Madrid, Spain.
• W-Foundation supported 1 million US $ worth of relief goods for the refugees from collapse of Saddle Dam D, part of a hydroelectric dam system under construction in southeast Laos’s Champassak Province, collapsed on 23 July 2018.
• W-Foundation supported 2.5 million U.S $ of relief goods and discussed continuous relief measure with the Embassy of Fiji in the Republic of Korea to help climate refugees in Fiji.
• W-Foundation, Black-Yak, and mountaineer Eun-Seon Oh supported $900,000 worth of relief goods including tents, clothes, shoes and etc.
• W-Foundation supported approximately $4 million of relief goals to Haiyan-impacted people with Black Yak which donated $800,000 of goods.
• W-Foundation delivered $300,000 of relief goods to Syrian refugees with collected donations from employees of LG Electronics. The relief goods included food, medicine, clothing, stationeries, etc.
• W-Foundation and KOTRA in Phnom Penh, Cambodia proceeded a light supplying business for outback town in Cambodia. W-Foundation supported lighting facilities such as ‘Solar home-system’ and ‘Multi Sunlight Set’ in the village.
• W-Foundation organized the 1st and 2nd paddy & bale art festival ‘Rice, Life and Culture’ in Banteay Meanhey province to support Cambodian climate refugees. We will develop the festival to a national tourist site by connecting the festival with Angkor Wat, the world-famous tourist attraction.
• W-Foundation and KOTRA trade delegation in Cambodia Phnom Penh work in a partnership with TYDA to enhance healthcare and medical development in Cambodia. TYDA (Samdech Techo Voluntary Youth Doctor Association)
• W-Foundation and KOTRA started HIP (Healthcare Improvement Project) in Cambodia supported by LG Electronics. This relief project is to improve laborers’ healthcare, especially for women who do not have the proper medical coverage.
• Discussing cooperative plans for the sustainable environmental-friendly development work with the prime minister, Volodymyr Groysman, at the official residence of the prime minister of Ukraine. Discussing nature conservation and environmental public services of Ukraine and sustainable environmental-friendly development work such as solar power plants, recycling plants, etc. with high-level personnel such as Yuliya Kovaliv, the first prime minister of the Ministry of Economy, Taras Kutovyi, the minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Taruta Serhiy, Oksana Makarova, the viceminister of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, including the prime minister, Volodymyr Groysman, and contract a partnership with the Minister of Environment of Ukraine.
• Held a ‘Korea-Ukraine Economic Cooperation Forum’ about eco-friendly economic development of Ukraine, energy, and nature conservation projects with the Korean ambassador in Ukraine, in Kiev, Ukraine. About 150 high-level people of Ukraine such as Yuliya Kovaliv, the first prime minister of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, Taras Kutovyi, the vice-minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Taruta Serhiy, a member the National Assembly, etc. and about 50 Korean personnel, including Yang Gu Lee, the Korean ambassador in Ukraine, Tae Ho Lee, the director general for economic diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated.
• Hosted a Korea-Ukraine joint charity concert with the Korean Embassy in Ukraine and the local broadcasting company, M1 TV at the Stereo Plaza in Kiev, Ukraine. W-Foundation presented a 3 concert with talent donation from Top 6 Ukrainian singer teams (Vremya I Steklo, Potap I Nastya, MOZGI Group, MONATIK, Quest Pistols Show, Open Kids) and Korean singers, Eddy Kim, Tahiti, Kmuch for fundraising for nature conservation and goodwill cultural exchange between Korean and Ukraine. The concert was aired through M1 channel in Ukraine and the entire area within Europe.
• W-Foundation made three campaign songs with more than 200 Korean Celebrities to raise donation for the green projects.
• More than 200 Korean Celebrities are working as public ambassador of W-Foundation
• W-Foundation hosted 1 st Global Climate Action Forum, which was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea at August 22(Mon) ~ 24(Wed), 2022. With the cooperation with UNFCCC, global participation was made including UNFCCC, S&P Global, Tesla, GroupM, Loreal, Schneider Electric, Globe Telecom, IUCN, Korea Coastal Guard, Schlumberger, Deutsche Bank, Booking Holdings, AB InBev, Hansol Group, CGI, Uber, Honeywell, HOOXI Partners, Borealis, Korea Investment
Corporation, Northeast Asian Culture Foundation, Sweep, KOFST, Greendot, Korea University, Climate Innovation, Education Lab, KOTRA, Korea Post, Illumina, Cebu Pacific, Techstars, KB Bank, Sinyoung Group, Peertac, Yido, Ultra Clean Technology, SBS and etc.
