Ms. Charmaine Chee

Charmaine is a passionate advocate for a nature-positive world, dedicated to protecting the environment while driving responsible business practices. After more than a decade in the financial services sector, she pivoted her career to sustainability, serving with Bursa Malaysia’s Corporate Governance & Sustainability team – where she helped launch Bursa Malaysia’s first Sustainability Reporting Framework and Guide and inaugural Sustainability Summit – as well as in the CSR arm of a conglomerate, and with WWF’s Asia Sustainable Finance team.

Since joining FSC Malaysia in October 2020, Charmaine has been leading efforts to implement FSC’s global strategy at the national level. She believes sustainably sourced forest-based products, particularly those certified by FSC, play a critical role in building resilient value chains, economies, and communities – while supporting global net-zero and biodiversity goals.
