Ms. Hana Halim

Hana Halim is an avid entrepreneur and active member of the spa and wellness industry for the past 20 years. She began making waves while working at a top spa supplier in Malaysia and later was appointed partner of the first Ministry of Tourism & Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) appointed Center of Excellence Spa Academy to help develop professional spa therapists to join the industry. This ultimately led her to serve on the Malaysian Government Skills Development Panel to create syllabuses for the industry for selected Malaysian Skills Certificates, an appointment given by
the government agency.

In addition to co-owning Bondahaven Maternity Spa, she is also the co-founder of The Gentle Birth Project in Chicago, a programme that combines exercise, nutrition and science-based traditional confinement practices for pre & post-natal mothers. Hana is a certified college lecturer and trainer certificated in Holistic Massage and Post-Natal Treatment. She has received CIBTAC Diplomas in Anatomy & Physiology, Body Massage, and Salon Management. Through her spa consulting company Spaveda, she trains internationally in Chicago, London, Singapore, Shanghai and Seoul on Malaysian Post-natal traditions. She is currently serving as the President for the Association of Malaysian Spas (AMSPA) and is part of Spa Rating Team member with MOTAC.
