Lim Bee Vian

Ms. Lim Bee Vian has been with the country’s main investment promotion agency i.e. the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) since 1991. She holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) degree from the Northern University of Malaysia. She has been involved in various functions of MIDA and has experience in policy advocacy and investment promotion for the manufacturing and services sector in Malaysia.

She was involved directly in the drafting of the services chapter in the Third Industrial Master Plan (IMP3) which outlined the development strategies of selected services sectors from 2006 to 2020. She has also guided her officers to provide ideas and inputs for the New Industrial Master Plan, 2021 – 2030.

She has held various management positions in MIDA i.e. Director of Industry Talent Management, Executive Director for Strategic Planning (Services), Executive Director, Services Development and now she is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Investment Development.
