MR. RIZAL DATO’ NAINY is currently the Chief Executive Officer of SME Corporation Malaysia. He spearheads the planning, implementation, monitoring and value-adding of SME development programmes aimed to promote the growth of globally competitive, innovative and resilient SMEs. He has vast experience in entrepreneurship, business advisory, economics & policy, international cooperation, programme coordination, IR4.0, SME digitalisation and e-commerce. His areas of expertise include government relations, transformation & business re-engineering, electrical & electronics, innovation, strategic planning, business development, strategy & portfolio, sales & operations and project management. He had worked at the Prime Minister’s Department on Strategic Transformation (Economic
Transformation Programme) and held distinct positions at Shell, both locally and globally.
Mr. Rizal Dato’ Nainy graduated from Imperial College, University of London in Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honours and obtained the Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Charles Sturt University, Australia.

SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp. Malaysia) is the central coordinating agency (CCA) under the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (MECD) that coordinates the implementation of development programmes for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across all related Ministries and agencies. It acts as the central point of reference for research and data dissemination on SMEs and entrepreneurs, as well as provides business advisory services for SMEs and entrepreneurs throughout the country.
