The National Housing and Property Focus Summit aims to be a meeting of minds bringing together all key stakeholders in the Housing and Property Industry to discuss the critical issues and key challenges facing the Property market in this uncertain and changing landscape. Demand for new property launches have slowed down in some segments and certain locations. The property overhang remains and can get worse before improving. It is estimated that unsold homes amount to RM20 billion. Yet at the same time, the demand for affordable housing keeps growing. Present supply is unable to meet the growing demand. The Pakatan Harapan Government targets to build 1million affordable homes in 10 years, which means 100,000 units each year over the next 10 years. New strategies need to be developed and implemented. At the same time there is an over-supply of office and retail space. What can be done to address the growing property glut? What are the key trends going forward that will impact on the Property sector? Where are the new opportunities?
This 2019 National Housing and Property Focus Summit will answer these and many other pressing challenges. The Summit will enable participants to feel the pulse of property development and to have open dialogue among the stakeholders – the Government, developers, professionals, buyers and consumers.
